I did a cross country road trip earlier this year, and like you, I was delighted by how many vegan, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly restaurants there were in the most unexpected places. I ate in Wichita, Albuquerque, Kansas City, and several small towns in Iowa with ease. It gives me so much hope!

It's the only one that I bought! I enjoyed it with my hosts in Chicago. While I wouldn't necessarily say it tasted like brie, it was a good spread. And it was cashew based.

Thank you! I just switched to the Canon S90. It's the best compact camera I have used and it's great in low light settings. Highly recommended.

As someone who has literally only eaten at Chipotle twice in her life, the garden blend controversy hasn't affected me yet. Well, that and the fact that I haven't visited NYC since the garden blend was introduced. However, I feel this is a very important argument and one that could truly revolutionize the amount of and quality of vegan options at fast food restaurants. I very rarely eat at fast food restaurants and am not exactly the right audience here, but I can only imagine the number of people who do rely on fast food and who could be making much healthier (for their bodies, the animals, and the environment) choices if they went with a vegan menu option instead of their non-vegan "usual." This could get very exciting! We should absolutely support restaurants for offering these options and help them, through conversations like these, to provide the best vegan options posible. While I would definitely be among those asking for her garden blend to be cooked in a separate pan, it is a small victory that the grill is cleaned before the garden blend makes its way to the grill and that it's not cooked side-by-side on the grill with non-vegan items.

By the way, "kerfuffle" is a word I love and use very often. I'm so glad you do, too. :)
